To our Belvedere Families,
We recognize the hardships being experienced by our residents and families during this time of unprecedented caution and uncertainty. We are now into the third week of our ‘no visitor’ policy. Be assured that all of our residents are receiving additional support and we are making every effort to accommodate virtual visits using skype, window visits, and telephone calls.
On Thursday 2 April, in collaboration with staff from the North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit, our Home was declared to be in a Suspect Respiratory Outbreak.
For our Belvedere Families, this will cause a great deal of anxiety. We will make every effort to respond to your questions and concerns. Be assured that resident and staff safety is our leading priority in the delivery of daily care.
The residents who show signs of illness have been tested for influenza and COVID-19 and all outbreak measures are in place in accordance with Public Health and the guidelines established by the Ministry of Health and the Chief Medical Officer of Health.
We will continue to communicate regularly with our Belvedere Families during this suspected outbreak, and throughout our ongoing response to COVID-19.
We are dedicated to the delivery of Resident-centered care. Thank you to our Belvedere Families for your support and cooperation.
